Costa Rica Sportfishing - Costa Rica has long held an international reputation as one of the hottest spots in the world for big game fish.

Situated on the central Pacific coast.  It is directly south of San Jose approx. 3 hour drive by car.   Or a 20 minute flight.

Fine restaurants, lounges, and moderately priced hotels.  It also has a post office, bank, pharmacy, a small medical clinic, several hardware stores, a bakery, commercial ice house, and numerous grocery stores and specialty shops.

Located in Guanacaste. It is a highly developed area for tourism. A 5 hour drive from San Jose. Nearest air strip is in Tamarindo. Marina available for fishing. The beach here is a beautiful stretch of white sand. At the northern end of the beach is a fortress like high rock outcropping upon which most of Playa Flamingo's hotels and vacation homes are built. There are great views from this rocky hill. In addition to several hotels and a host of vacation homes and condo developments, Flamingo has a full-service marina.

Tamarindo the most popular city for beach in the North Pacific and the second in development. Has an air strip. Approx. a 5 hour drive from San Jose. Hot and dry. The beach itself is a long, wide swath of white sand that curves gently from one rocky headland to another. Few places have so much entertainment by day---scenery, sunbathing, snorkeling, surfing, sport fishing and shopping---and such a lively nightlife. Fishing boats mooring at the south end of the beach.

The rates are charged per charter for 5 anglers maximum.

High Season is from November 1 to May 15.
Low Season is from May 16 to October 31.
