Arguably the most thrilling and challenging fishing experience is to fish through the night with a single-handed rod for fresh-run sea trout - the "take" can be savage and the fight is always explosive. We offer a full week on a secluded and prolific beat on the Spey where, given low water and warm settled conditions, one can expect several fish every night. For those who have the stamina, one can also fish during the day for salmon and grilse. This is serious fishing for the dedicated and experienced fly-fisherman.

We have fished this beat for over 20 years and are able to guide the visiting angler in every respect; from which fly to try, to which pools to fish at night and which to leave to try for a salmon in the morning. This is the ultimate single-handed rod fishing experience and we can guarantee that once you have caught your first sea trout in the blackness of the night, you will relive that experience in your mind a thousand times.

Night-Time Fishing For Sea Trout On The Spey - A beautiful and secluded stretch of the Spey, near Boat of Garten.  Over 3 miles of the finest sea trout fly-water in Scotland.
Fly-fishing through the night for sea trout and salmon.  Single-handed rod fishing for top quality sea trout.  This is one of the most prolific and beautiful beats on the Spey.

Our accommodation is in a four-star Guesthouse located about 10 mins from the beat.  It is rare to find such quality of facilities and service - rarer still to find proprietors willing to accommodate the nocturnal movements of the sea trout fisher!

We have used this Guesthouse for many years.  it is, quite simply second to none.

Please note; We fish through the night, returning to the Guesthouse for breakfast then to bed, reconvening at the hut in the afternoon.
